| Allan Jones sudden demise came as a big shock to us. He was a tireless campaigner on behalf of the 16th, and often represented the minesweepers at official memorials. It was my pleasure to work with him on this website, and through many e-mails I came to respect him and appreciate his sense of humour, his undoubted love and loyalty to the RAN and the 16th Minesweeping Squadron.
