Tribute to
Allan T. Jones - Spike
Allan Jones sudden demise came as a big
shock to us. He was a tireless campaigner
on behalf of the 16th, and often
represented the minesweepers at official
memorials. It was my pleasure to work with
him on this website, and through many
e-mails I came to respect him and
appreciate his sense of humour, his
undoubted love and loyalty to the RAN and
the 16th Minesweeping Squadron. Our
sincere condolences to his family.
We miss you Allan. God speed.
