As of February 2009, the MSN group attached to the MSS will be closed down.
MSN are doing this to all groups and have requested that the group is
migrated to the Multiply Network. This has now been done. Sorry if this is
confusing and at short notice, all MSN moderators were not given much notice
of the change in service. Consequently the group is now to be found at:

~ October site Update -Info shout out ~
For any special and notable dates relating to the Minesweeping Squadron
whilst in active service and afterwards. I am compiling an
events page and
would like as many dates as we can fit on, even if its not a military date, or just
the day some bloke fell over board. To start us off the
Naval Historical Society
of Australia
has kindly allowed us to use some of the information from their
site.
Also, what happened to the minesweepers after the Indonesian Conflict?
Where did they all go prior to decommissioning? Any info on that would also
be gratefully received. Thank You!
We have a page on
Facebook now. Membership is by approval only.
